Product Description
On October 13, 2010, the NASCAR Hall of Fame® announced the second group of Inductees who will make up the Class of 2011. The inductees will be officially enshrined into the Hall of Honor in May of 2011. The Class of 2011 car will feature the signature of each inductee on the hood and will be decorated in a special finish called Flashcoat Color, a blue toned color shifting finish. For 2011 the set will also include five additional cars. In addition to the class car, each inductee will have their own design with their likeness and signature on the hood and will use the same base design as the class car.
“Gentleman” Ned Jarrett is a two time champion in the Premier Series winning titles in 1961 and 1965. Jarrett also won two Sportsman Series titles in 1957 and 1958. He finished his career with 50 victories and one of those is still a record as he won the Southern 500 by 14 laps. After retiring from driving he would later grab the microphone and become a television broadcaster for the sport of NASCAR. His greatest moment in broadcasting may be remembered for the call of the 1993 DAYTONA 500 which was won by son Dale.
